Kaizaki Arata (Arata Kaizaki) is a 28 year old male (27 in the beginning of the story) who is the second test subject of the ReLIFE process in Kanto and is under the watchful eye of Yoake Ryo, who is also under the ReLIFE drug.

Appearance

Pre-ReLIFE- A tall young adult male with broad shoulders and blue eyes.

Post-ReLIFE- His height remained the same, but his frame seemed to have gone away and his face took on much more of an adolescent look. His hair became shorter and his eyes remained the same.

Personality

He likes helping others and he cares for everyone.

Relationships

Hishiro Chizuru - He becomes her first friend. It is possible he views her as more than a friend, as seen when he thinks of her when asked if he likes someone as well as hearing Yoake being called by Hishiro by his first name when he is not. During the summer festival, he was disturbed on seeing Hishiro walking in her yukata with Yoake's help and later thinks they are a perfect match for each other. He got aware of his feelings for her when he sees her as someone who fits all the criteria with the questions he asked Ohga about liking someone. However, beeing unaware of Subject 001's experiment, he's unwilling to act as he see playing around with a feelings of a young girl who's working hard to built social relationships and whose memories will be erased at the end of a year, very cruel and unethical.

Kariu Rena - She lends him a pencil on his first day of school.He goes out of his way to help mend her relationship with Honoka and improve the relationship between her and Hishiro. He also was indirectly responsible for Ohga realising his feelings for Kariu.

Kazuomi Ohga - Ohga was one of the few students to first interact with Kaizaki. Kaizaki thinks he's a flashy dude. Kaizaki and Ohga are good friends as seeing how Ohga helps Kaizaki with his studies,despite Kaizaki failing a lot. Kaizaki is disappointed that Ohga is dense in love matters despite being handsome and eventually makes him realise his feelings for Kariu.

Onoya An - Initially introduced as a transfer student as well, Kaizaki thinks of becoming a friend to Onoya. During golden week, she tries to hit on him and is revealed to be an ReLife employee. Although he is irritated by her constant clinging and intrusive personality, they have a good relation.
