Synopsis
With Arata's issues resolved, everyone had fun throughout the cultural festival. Then comes the sports festival on the third day, including a relay race in which the entire class must participate!

The second day of the cultural goes by and everyone has a good time. After that it is time for the athletic festival, and every third-year participates in a traditional red team versus white team relay race. Talking about the race with the other students in class 3, who are in the red team, Arata also learns of a kind of informal tradition: despite him being very good at sports, Asaji's team has never won any of these competitions in the 11 years he has participated.
While the students wait for the competition to start, Ryō would prefer to keep his distance, but An insists she and Ryō join them. As An clings Arata's arm like usual, Rena tells her to back off, and at Rena's prompting to also say something Chizuru scolds Arata instead of An. Despite his initial reluctance to join the others, Ryō also relaxes amid the banter.
The relay race starts, and the red team follows a strategy to demoralize their opponents. They achieve a large lead right at the beginning by having Honoka, Asaji and Akira, who are all very good at sports, run first. However, after them it is Kazuomi's turn, and the other teams pass him by easily during his seriously bad performance.

- The events of this chapter took place on Friday September 27th, 2013, with Ryo's written report covering the 25th and 26th as well.
- According to the "Author's message" at the end of the webcomic, Nobunaga Asaji's jinx mentioned in this chapter was based on an actual friend of the author's.
